BE PART OF THE FUTURE OF CAPE VINCENT

The Cape Vincent Development Corporation (CVLDC) is an economic development tool for the Town and Village of Cape Vincent. The CVLDC has begun implementation of its strategic plan and has an opening on its nine-member board for the position of Treasurer. Our current Treasurer is departing in the next few months. This position is a volunteer position and will be instrumental in implementing the strategic plan for the future of our beautiful Cape Vincent Community.

Position & Participation

This all-volunteer Board now needs to recruit an additional board member to serve as a voting member of the board and Treasurer. As a board member, the selected individual will participate in providing financial reporting and bookkeeping duties, as well as being key to decisions regarding organizational governance, and economic advancement of Cape Vincent. This position is assisted by the CVLDC’s Administrative Assistant who does part of the financial and bookkeeping duties. All board members ensure the CVLDC operates and utilizes resources appropriately and ethically. CVLDC Board members serve a three-year term and are expected to participate in monthly meetings. This position’s three-year term will commence at the first CVLDC Board meeting.

Qualifications

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the Cape Vincent community. A background with previous Treasurer responsibilities, finance, and/or bookkeeping are highly preferred. Leadership and economic development skills are a plus. The ability to attend monthly meetings face-to-face in Cape Vincent is preferred.
